This editorial is dedicated to late Dr. Bal Raj Vacher. He lived from 21.02.1921 to 01.03.2012. He single-handedly worked for the upliftment of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry specialty in India and made its recognition in the country. This specialty started at GDC Amritsar KG Dental College, Lucknow, followed by PGIMER, Chandigarh, and so on. He was a great philosopher who always used to carry chocolates and distribute to the students after the lecture. He was well known as "Father of Pedodontics" in India. Fortunately, I was a student of Dr. B. R. Vacher when I was pursuing my Post Graduation at PGIMER, Chandigarh. He has written to me under his signature.
Some of his philosophical quotations are as follows:
- Try to great first
- Receive other abuses as garlands
Concentrate on supramental power; that makes all tasks easy
We should recognize all those who worked hard with limited resources at that time and have attained the age of 65 for the upliftment of our profession.
I salute the great and wonderful person, Dr. Bal Raj Vacher.
Wonder-ful Dear Dr. S. Reddy
Enclosed are a few copies of the writings that were dicated during 19 seventiesl in response to call by Higher Voice and were dictated without thinking as expressions of Intuition, which mean being beyond thinking and reason.
I will give clarification about these on phone and please wait for it and not go though those to have better experiences.
These are submitted with Humility and regards.
