It is indeed great pleasure to write this particular editorial. First of all, I wish all the readers a VERY HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR, 2010. You are aware that I have released four issues of our esteemed journal for the year 2009, but this would not have been possible without your active cooperation, directly or indirectly.

I hope you are carrying memories in your minds of our recently completed annual conference of ISPPD at Murad Nagar. I was told that there were about 800?delegates who participated in the conference. Two hundred seventy-three scientific papers were presented by the students and 91 by the faculty. Apart from these, 23 lectures were delivered by invited speakers and guest speakers, including six overseas speakers.

The total number of posters presented by the students was 150; and by the faculty, 8. Once again, I congratulate the organizers, especially Dr. P. B. Sood, for untiring efforts to make this scientific program a grand success.
